About Under Floor Heating

Under floor heating is fast becoming the most popular form of heating. In most forms it is inexpensive to install, economical to run, there is no maintenance and above all the heat distribution is total. It is invisible in so much as there are no radiators or heated towel rails showing. It can be installed under almost every floor type, wood, tile and laminate making it ideal for refurbishment projects.

This kind of heating can be applied in bathrooms, shower rooms and wet areas, conservatories and sunrooms, kitchens and utility rooms. It can be applied to tiled and stone floors and laminate and solid wood floors.

The system is controlled by the floor temperature sensor and wall mounted electronic thermostat. This prevents the floor from overheating. The most comfortable surface temperature will be 22°C. This is easily adjusted (and can be increased if required) by turning the dial on the thermostat.
